What are Environmental Aspects?

    I'm trying to get my head around environmental aspects. Is an aspect for example water treatment, spray painting, etc .... or is it discharge of effluent to waterways, emissions of solvents to air???

    Thanks. An enviro aspect is an element of an organisation's activities/products/services that interacts with the environment.
    So would it be wrong for me to say an element of my organisations activity is wastewater treatment (aspect) which leads to degraded water quality from discharges (impact) OR does it need to be ....

    Wastewater treatment (activity), effluent discharge to waterways (aspect), degraded water quality (impact)?
