    HI Guys,

My company will be undergo Recertification Audit in end of March 2017, but can we still using the ISO 9001:2008? If I not mistaken the new certification of ISO 9001:2008 will be stop in March 2017, so would it affect us?

    Thanks in advance...

Yes it will have an effect on your certification. Your CB should clarify this with your organization.

You have a three-year transition period from the date of publication (September 2015) to move to the 2015 version. This means that, after the end of September 2018, a certificate to ISO 9001:2008 will no longer be valid. So technically you would still be able to recertify to the 2008 version of the standard however it would be wise to work towards the 2015 requirements for your upcoming re-certification in order to stay ahead of the game.

No more 2008 certificates may be issued after March 2017.

    Hi Andy,

That mean we have to change to 2015 when we conduct recertificate audit in April 2017 ??

How about if I conduct the recertificate audit in January 2017, can I still recertificate to ISO9001:2008....

    Thanks in advance.

    Phoong,

Yes you can still recertificate in Jan 2017.

But your new certificate to ISO 9001:2008 will expire at end Sept 2018.

Hence you would have to do a recertification audit again in Jan 18 but this time to ISO 9001:2015.

If you already comply to 2008, the actual amount of work for 2015 isn't so significant really. Do what's necessary and get your upgrade audit done sooner not later.
