Does anyone know of a requirement to physically separate AS 9100D QMS production activities from others not within the QMS?

I don't know about AS 9100D requirements in general but have worked at several companies that provided limited products for military applications where the production areas for those products had to be fenced off with restricted access and visibility.

It seems there may be some "mission creep" happening. I've been told there's an IAQG "resolution" on the topic, but I have yet to find it in a large spreadsheet, downloadable from the SAE website

Years ago with IATF there where some similar issues. But it was primarily with regard to making the determination of audit days vs. no. of employees. Something to the effect that a company with separate automotive and non-automotive lines could exclude the employees who worked on the non-automotive line from the audit count and reduce the number of audit days. Maybe check that approach??
