Purchasing procedure and customer complaint

    Can anyone help me to understand in which clause will Purchasing procedure and Claim management will fall in accordance to ISO 9001 : 2015 standard

    Hi Rajan,

    Purchasing process is discussed in 8.4 Control of externally provided products and services of the ISO 9001:2015. Now there is no specific clause for purchasing ( earlier it is dealt under 7.4 of ISO 9001:2008). Now with the new standard any product/service that is externally provided is discussed under 8.4.

    Not sure about the Claim management that you are referring to ..

    Good day Rajan;
    In regards to "claims" (customer complaints), I believe you are looking for 9001:2015 clause 10.2 (non-conformity and corrective action). This is the updated version of previous clause 8.3 (9001:2004). "Customer Focus" is a centerpiece of the 2015 version, and is referred to in multiple locations in regard to "claims" (customer complaints) including 8.2.1. However, 10.2 is the clause specifically governing this activity.
