ISO recently decided not to convert ISO 9004 (“Quality management: Quality of an organization – Guidance for achieve sustained success”) into a requirements standard for now, as “it is not yet the correct time”. Dead right! Whose idea was this anyway?

Thanks John. If Jennifer can't open it I can post the content here as well - just let me know.

The quote comes from: 'At the 45th meeting of TC 176/SC2 it was resolved that: “it is not yet the correct time to initiate a project to develop a standard specifying “requirements” for “the quality of an organization” based on ISO 9004, and that this idea should be held over for consideration in the future”'.

Thank you, I was able to open that one. I wish Mr. Fraser had pointed to the Technical Committee's announcement instead of just making a blog post. I think I may have found it here.
