IATF 16949 section 9.3.2.1: What metrics do you use?

    IATF 16949 section 9.3.2.1 requires inputs into management reviews for process effectiveness and process efficiency. Could anyone share what metrics that they are using for these?

    Could we ask first what your organization uses today? Without knowing your specific industry, other organizations may not have comparable metrics, because they have different product/process characteristics.

    • product acceptance/rejection rate
    • CpK
    • field returns
    • return-to-vendor (RTV)
    • on-time delivery rate
    • MTBF
    Measures of process efficiency can include:
    • production yield
    • premium freight
    • scrap rate
    • overtime hours
    • costs of poor quality
    • MTTF
