The Association of the German Automotive Industry (VDA) recommends it’s members to apply VDA 6.3 (2010) standard for the implementation and maintenance of Quality management System, because it believes, higher expectations of products require robust processes which must be secure throughout the entire manufacturing and supply chain.

The processes get analyzed in such a way that Risks and Weaknesses are detected in work-processes and their interfaces. The Turtle diagram is used extensively for this. Some of the advantages of VDA 6.3 Process auditing are:

o Qualifies to supply to German OEM

o Enables export to Germany & Europe

    o Improves performance dramatically

By undergoing the training, you get to understand the difference between System audit vs Process audit. You also get to understand the special features of this system such as

    § Generic launch pad of VDA 6.3 & it’s 4 drivers – PR, TO, CO & RI

§ Assessing risks through turtle diagram.

§ The whole auditing / rating is software based

I do participate in training programs of VDA 6.3 process auditing conducted by UBF.B who are the franchisees of VDA. I am a senior consultant with UBF.B
