This is auditing related question, so it should be asked in auditing sub-forum, dear leyladonmez, Ok?

During CHECK stage monitoring/measurement activities are performed.
Measurement activities give us results which have to be compared to requirements/expectations.
    Conclusion determines ACT stage.
When measurement results meet requirements we start improvement activities.
When measurement results don't meet requirements we start corrective activities.
Activities selected during ACT stage have to be included in PLAN stage for next operational period, next project, next product.

    Example
There was customer's complaint related to serial product quality.
There were determined root causes and planned corrective actions.
At the same time manufacturing process for similar product was developed.
Audit according to CAP approach shall be focused on how activities related to past performance are affecting new activities.
So, did you consider for new product occurrence of same defect as one already claimed by customer for previous product?
Did you implement for new product as already same error-proofing methods as it was done for claimed product?
    It is bad example.
Good example could be when new process was introduced for serial products where higher capacity was achieved.
Measurement results for capacity indicator exceed requirements.
So now, organization decided to implement change during process development stage and choose this process instead of other alternative one, which was already selected.
Thanks to this capacity with much better results will be achieved during serial production.

This is a way to check whether company has uninterrupted learning curve and subsequent PDCA cycle is connected with previous one.

This is (simply) an attempt to get Certification Body auditors to focus on what processes are EFFECTIVE. By looking at the Check, Act and the Plan and Do of the usual PDCA, the idea was to take process/product issues (scrap, rework, complaints and such like) and have the auditor follow on the trail of actions in response etc. It hasn't lasted long...

I figured it out already, right after Serious Man posted his example. It's the same cycle but started at C instead of P. Thanks anyway.

;) Tony, sometimes you look, but you don't see.

Our 3rd party auditors still use it and I follow this approach during internal audits.
Healthy people do not need treatment, while poor performance requires special focus.
