    True the social sciences suffered long before six sigma. Six sigma (schlocky instructors) gave the quality profession the NHST and p value to a lot of people tho. And the persavisive use of statistical software made it even more popular. Many of the trainees and casual 'users' or consumers were and are not prepared to question it rationally. Sad.
