    Hello,

we are a SW site (certified through a corporate scheme), so we do not have any manufacturing.

We fulfill 7.1.5.1 of the ISO 9001 standard, but now we started to question whether our SW test equipment is considered to be an Internal laboratory and if we then need to fulfill also 7.1.5.3?
Our test equipment basically is servers, PCs, software applications/tools and a software-in-the-loop test system. Test serves to prove that the SW fulfills the requirements.

Can someone guide us on the whether or not the following clauses would apply to a general SW/embedded SW site?
7.1.5.1 Monitoring and measuring resources general (applies, but we do not have any devices that needs calibration)
    7.1.5.1.1 Measurement systems analysis (?)
    7.1.5.2 Measurement traceability (?)
    7.1.5.2.1 Calibration/verification records (?)
    7.1.5.3.1 Internal laboratory (?)
7.1.5.3.2 External laboratory (does not apply to us)

I would not confuse the 7.1.5 requirements with the software product development process. 7.1.5 is really most applicable to hardware (manufactured) product. It's a stretch to try to align it with a) a product development process and b) software. Are you familiar with S.P.I.C.E?
