uncontrolled doc footer on a customer product manual

    What is the best way to handle customer product manuals? We handle customer product manuals in our IMSxpress document control module. Our procedure states ...outside parties who are not affected by the document, but need a copy for information only, are stamped UNCONTROLLED... This does not always look appealing to the customer. How do others handle customer product manuals?

    They are not part of your QMS, they are a product. You don't need to concern yourself with the control status and methods, including how to indicate status. Take it off.
