A huge thank you to Atul for setting up this site. I know that some of us were feeling a little 'homeless' when our previous online water cooler was removed. I look forward to seeing this site grow with the same amazing group of people and wonderful new contributors. Formerly known as RCBeyette in the other virtual home, I've switched over to my first name and last initial. I will unleash my flying monkeys on anyone who incorrectly spells my name (...ahem, Andy!). *lol* Professionally, my background is predominantly manufacturing. I only "fell" into the world of ISO 9001 because I used 'crap' in my definition of it during an interview. I was hired on the spot. Over the years, Quality evolved to included Environment, Health and Safety, Financial, Lean, Analysis, Standardization, Training, Quality Tools and Project Management. After 15+ years of ink, buses and steel, I dabbled briefly in the financial sector before landing a gig in healthcare. I've been working for a not-for-profit organization that is mainly community care (i.e., we care for patients once they are home from the hospital) for 3.5 years. While the work environment is certainly different than manufacturing - I miss the smell of steel in the morning! - my skills, experiences and passions are still used and challenged as a member of the organization's Operations Innovation team.
