NCR filling process as per ISO 9001:2015

    Greetings,

    As per ISO, should the auditor fill in the corrective and preventive action for an NCR or the organization? The auditor has only given the cause and details for NCR.

    No, it's usually (in my experience) assigned to the process owner to which the audit was performed.

    Why has the Auditor given the cause? The Auditor usually normally documents the finding vs the requirement, the Non-Conformance then flowed down to the appropriate authority for investigation.

    Do you have the exact details of the finding?

    Habeeb, welcome! To be accurate with an answer, we must first understand who is the "auditor"? Is this an internal auditor or an external one? Maybe a Certification Body or Customer auditor? Which auditor are you asking about?

    And, for your information, ISO 9001 doesn't mention anything about this activity.
