    Hello, everyone!

As required in the IATF 16949 7.1.5.1.1: An organisation must conduct MSA for each system defined in the control plan.
Also according to IATF 16949:2016 – Frequently Asked Questions revised of May 2022 instruments with the same characteristics can be grouped.

A thing that is clear: It is possible to make groups with the same resolution, for example, or with measurement range. But is there some standard of other document defins how to group the measurement systems in order to have an official reason to make the specific groups.

Could you, plese, share an experience with the item at your production?

    I would say
    Analog calipers-one group
    Digital micrometers -one group
    Pin gauges - one group
    plug gauges- one group
    groups as per this rationale
    Does this help

Thank you for the quick response!
Actually i have done the same group, but it seems more instinctively than rationally.
So now i try to find something official for the case.

This is a link to a blog that I wrote about creating gauge families. Please review it and if you have any questions, post them here.
