    Hi all

I hope I post this in the correct forum. It probably pertains to the machinery directive and the LVD.

We are building a tumbler, with a blower in a closed back with safety contacts. The tumbler is run by a 24 VDC motor. There is also a power supply, getting 230VAC to 24VDC for the motor.

I am certain that the power supply has to be CE-marked, but the does the motor? Is this motor seen as a machine? And would it need a declaration of conformity or declaration of incorporation?

    Thanks!
