    Good day @hopech ;
"We" can not necessarily answer that question as every organization is different. However, I would council you to consider the following....
1- What does your organization's leadership care about?
    a) Efficiency?
    b) Cost of quality/poor quality?
    c) Attendance/turnover?
    d) COGS?

2- What does your customer care about?
    a) On time delivery?
    b) Product quality?

These are good places to start.

(Keep in mind, it is healthy for an organization to have a "top 5 (or 3)", that ALL leadership and team members are familiar with and can have access to/describe how the organization is performing in these areas).

    Hope this helps.

    Be well.

    hello,
    thanks for replying
in fact all of what you mentionned above is true
i could find some performance indicators but i'm still looking for some efficiency indicators other than the CPQ one because i'm already using it
    thank you

What's your understanding of what APQP is about, the purpose etc? If you can articulate APQP as a process, you should be able to describe the Key Performance Indicators...

I am simply asking to help me understand what you know. This isn't "school" where teachers tell you Bec cause you have no clue. You say you have built an APQP process - therefore you should be able to help me understand what it's aim is. The challenge of simply answering questions is that we can tell you stuff all day long, but YOU have to answer the auditor. How will you know how to do that if you don't understand? If you are the process owner and you don't know the process and what it's measured against etc. you are no better off.

    you're so complicating things
if i find here some backup with clear explanations and suggestions I would understand everything
saying that i'm supposed to know what I don't really know so far wouldn't help in anything

and by the way you can execute your process but you don't really know how to set your indicators ( performance, efficiency ..so many details) it happens believe me
so that's why we have forums to help each other
you say that we have to konw everything so why being here ?!

When I first started out, I was clueless about what to track and how to measure success.

I’m with Andy on this one. No one here owes you an answer - this is a FREE SITE. Answering Andy’s question will not only help us to give you the best advice, it will help you learn how to do this thinking for yourself…you will learn something not just memorize an answer.

so my question is: are you here to learn something or are you just here to antagonize people who don’t do what you expect them to do?

Doesn’t look like the OP is anywhere to be found after 3 years.

No but for some reason this thread popped up again so I responded for current readers…the OP was no doubt a troll…
Probably should close the thread to comments…

But over time, I've learned that a few key indicators can make all the difference. Picture this: you've got your on-time delivery rates, defect numbers, and customer satisfaction scores as your trusty compasses. They're like the North Star guiding you through the stormy seas of production.
Now, if you're still craving more insight, I stumbled upon this blog about KPI starboards that really helped me level up my game: Give it a read and see if it sparks any lightbulb moments for you.

If you define a process without knowing what it is supposed to achieve, you have a problem. ISO and IATF don’t require “KPIs” which is a huge mistake people keep making. The requirements are for Quality Objectives, which can be broken down to simple concepts, like “right first time” (because doing the same job by touching it twice isn’t cost effective) and “on time”. Start there.
