Application development & Tests (not R&D): Which sub-clause under 8 - "Operations"?

    Hi,

    Can someone tell me under which sub section "Application development" should be connected to under 8 - "Operations"? We only runt tests and application development and not any R&D.

    Good question! Is this your product or someone else's? Can your organization change the target specification or must the customer approve?

    Thanks for quick feedback! It's our own products and the target spec can be changed by us after customer approvement.

    IMHO most (if not all) of the sub-clauses under 8 Operation are applicable. If you have the following processes for application development, the relevant requirements within the indicated sub-clauses should be met:
    1. Establishing the application development plan - 8.1 is applicable;
    2. Requirement analysis - 8.2 is applicable;
    3. Specification and software architecture design and development for the application (i.e. product) - 8.3 is applicable;
    4. if you're using subcontractors or have to procure programming software - 8.4 is applicable;
    5. Implementation and documentation of the application - 8.5 is applicable;
    6. Application testing - 8.6 is applicable;
    7. Debugging - 8.7 is applicable.
