Large company in the US with HQ and sister plants located in another country.

Currently, the quality manual is only used by the US plants. HQ would like to have a Global Quality Manual that would include US and HQ and sister plants. Should the company retain their current quality manual for the North American Plants only or should the quality manual list and be used by all plants (Globally)?

    Hello, Debby.

What value is there in retaining and maintaining your own Quality Manual if there is a Corporate one?

The trick, however, is ensuring that the Corporate document addresses/meets the requirements of ALL locations around the globe. So it may end up being very generic and it will then be up to the sites to maintain local/national supporting documentation that bridges the links between local/national processes and the globally-applicable manual.
