    Hi Y'all.

My name is Mike. I live 1/2 in the US and 1/2 in Asia.

My background is in sales and marketing. I've recently been put in charge of traveling the world and delivering presentations to executives and managers of production lines. (Long story).

I'm quickly digging into Lean and Six Sigma principles so I can get a better grasp on "their" world and frame of mind.

Any advice is more than welcome. I'm an open book.

    Thanks in advance. :)

This is admirable but keep in mind that this is probably just one segment of your customers. There will be another segment that is clueless about these principles. Have a backup presentation for these.

Can I offer the following, too? From a similar background in sales, teaching and mentoring salespeople (with a good deal of success myself and my mentees)

    • Listen, listen, listen - you are there to help them find a solution
    • Don't "pitch" - making a presentation without knowing what they are actually looking for is ineffective and inefficient
    • Learn how to read personality types, using D.i.S.C. and how to relate to them
Plus, if you haven't had any formal Sales training, I'd suggest learning the "Sandler" system is a game changer.
