    Does anyone recognize these when considering your internal (quality) audits?

    • Employees not participating willingly in audits
    • Auditors not being fulfilled by their audit assignments
    • Auditing not being seen as a career enhancing role
    • Auditor “burnout”
    • Selection of auditors being made without understanding the assignment
    • Auditor training being selected without clear evaluation of providers
    • Audits done only once or twice a year
    • Corrective actions from audits not supported
    • Audits done just before the annual certification audit
    • Management not participating in planning audits

    During my last orgs certification Audit, the auditor requested to talk to Manufacturing personnel. Specifically he wanted a chat with a supervisor.

    They were absolutely no where to be seen on the day of audit, I found them in a meeting to which I interrupted and asked one of them to attend to the Auditor. They told me they were 'busy' and to go away.

    The auditor ended up getting what he needed from an 18 year old Production administrator. It was incredibly awkward.

    Oddly, perhaps, I wouldn't make too much of such a situation. Especially since it might depend on what the CAB auditor is asking for! They aren't always seen as doing a stellar job...

    I didn't add this to the original post - maybe I should - I was thinking internal audits!
