    Morning all,

I recently started a new job with a company that is look to get ISO9001:2015 accreditation. They've tasked me with this slightly overwhelming task. I've been doing quality work for aerospace and military for a few years now but this new place is very behind in its practices. Currently working on fixing their QMS and quality forms that were, for lack of better term half-@$$ed, back in July of last year by an outside company that clearly didn't have a grasp on the situation here. Since then they have done zero work towards the certification. Hoping that before I google what some of these things are, I can come here for some good feedback. Currently tackling "Risk Assessment & Risk Treatment". Wish me luck and thanks in advance for any knowledge passed on.

My advice. Don't overthink it. If they have been in business for any length of time, they are likely 80%+ of the way there. You just need to fill in any gaps. Keep it simple. And never say "this is for ISO." :) Good luck.

    Hi Curtis:

Firstly, let's get you talking about the right terms: It's "Certification" or "Registration", not "Accreditation" (that's quite different).

Secondly, when you say "Working on..." can you clarify what's happening? Are you doing this, alone?
