The Elsmar Cove appears to be back:
    http://www.elsmar.com/Forums/index.php

If it were months ago, I'd be celebrating. ...but at the moment this is kind of awkward for me...

This forum and Elsmar (including community members) has huge overlap!
The trouble is, of course, that people will end up posting inquiries on both sites, and we'll end up with essentially duplicate threads!

Personally, I'd like just one place to congregate and share, and am now torn between the two...

What are others going to do?

I see my old login info is still valid, even under new proprietorship. Curious, indeed.

I'm willing to live with duplicate threads for some time. Both of these sites are important.

We went for a while without either. :)

    I'm happy with both!

I have say, this forum is much cleaner in its presentation than Elsmar. By comparison, the Elsmar site feels much less easy to navigate, almost overwhelming.

...I do miss the emoticons from Elsmar though....;)

In my opinion this site's design is TOO clean. I admit that Elsmar might be a little overwhelming at first, but hey, what do you expect of a 20 years worth of knowledge accummulation?!... When I first discovered Elsmar (>10 years ago) I remember I was overwhelmed at first. More correct, awed. It took me about 5 years of just occasionally browsing before I finally registered and started posting, and ever since then it grew on me. I think it's just a matter of getting used to.

Well, there's been no attempt/need to run advertising which helps the look.

Technically Elsmar is now owned by Peachfarm Internet Properties in Switzerland. As to there being 2 forums, there's Linkedin, etc. as well. All can co-exist. As to the "look", it's all in the eyes of the beholder. To some it's function/information over form. To others, well.... Anyway - I'm sure the new owner is assessing that. Elsmar ended up with such granular individual forums that it will be difficult to make it less cluttered. I know - I tried when I had it.

The sites complement each other. They all work for the same goal "People Helping People".

It's back. Maybe it has something to do with your cache. You could try clearing it. Here is a link to the forums, its different than what you have now so maybe it will work.

Elsmar has never been a "www" site. At one time whether a person put in www.website.com or just website.com didn't matter. These days it can.
