As a professional working within the manufacturing industry, I am currently involved in advancing our organization’s quality management initiatives. One of the key areas we've identified for improvement is our audit management process.
Given the complexity and regulatory requirements of manufacturing, we are actively exploring audit management solutions that can integrate seamlessly with our existing systems, offer real-time reporting, and provide automation capabilities to streamline internal audits, supplier assessments, and compliance tracking.
With a variety of options available in the market, we are seeking recommendations or insights from those with hands-on experience or knowledge of audit management platforms that are well-suited for the manufacturing sector.

Ive been looking for decades. Ive never seen anything which comes close that cant be accomplished in Outlook, Sharepoint and Excel. In general, software developers don’t understand audits.

Not completely on board with blaming the software folks. :) Seriously, things like internal audits and supplier assessments don't, IMO, lend themselves well to a software application. Software can be good at tracking actions arising, etc., but not so much the creative aspects of these tasks. I've seen some interesting concepts on AI assessing QMSs for regulatory compliance (which could probably be extended to assessing records). I don't recall if it was theoretical / lab work or if it was implemented / commercialized (but I can certainly see things moving that direction).

Hi, I have no relationship with this company. I have been a user for 9 years now. It has audits, but also much more for APQP, doc control etc. features.

Software "solutions" rarely, in my 35 years of research, are actually that - a solution. They actually don't assist with audit programmes, but burden auditors with a lot of screen time which would be better spent actually auditing!

I agree. I also audit with just a pen, notepad and my checklist. The software can help if you as a larger organization have many auditors doing many audits, with many findings. Then the auditors can go to their desk after the audit to log it all for target date tracking, audit data trends and reports.
