    Hi All,

Working on a 4th edition EMC plan here for a multi function patient monitor. I see there are no new particulars for ECG and IBP, and the existing ones have 202.x.x clauses aligned with 3rd edition of 60601-1-2 EMC collateral.

My question is, if i'm going for 4th edition how do these 202.x.x clauses from e.g. 60601-2-27:2011 apply to 4th edition of 60601-1-2:2014? do they apply at all? E.g. 202.6.2.2 in 60601-2-27:2011 mentions 10 second recovery time after ESD hits - would this automatically apply to 4th edition?

Additionally, 60601-2-49:2018 Particular for multifunction monitor allows for 30 sec recovery time upon ESD hits (202.8.1), does this extend to all the parameters of the multifunction monitor e.g. ECG and IBP? In which case it would override the aforementioned clause from the ECG particular?

Thanks in advance for any guidance, tips, answers, discussions.
