    Hello,

    I joined these forums while at a former employer during my transition into a Quality Engineering role. I never got around to making an introduction post.

    My name is Mark, and I've been a Quality Engineer for about 3 years now. I work for a tier 1 automotive supplier and the bulk of my experience is in automotive manufacturing with a brief stint in lawnmower transmission manufacturing.

    I've been lucky to learn a lot of good practices from a lot of experienced and intelligent individuals. Problem solving and process improvement are tasks I enjoy and naturally gravitate toward by both nature and habit.

    Welcome Mark. I was in automotive (tier 1 also) for 15 years. Had a giant bottle of Tylenol on my desk for the constant tension headaches. Finally left for commercial then industrial products and tossed the bottle away.

    Yes, welcome @mulissi ;
    Consistent with what @Miner said, I was also in first tier automotive (prox 20 years), except mine was Excedrin Migraine (a "win" for coming out the other side of Tier 1 is simply not being a raging alcoholic ;)

    Best wishes !
