Is PFD, PFMEA and CP linking required?

    Please allow me to ask this question: Where in the IATF 16949 standard does it require that the PFD, PFMEA and Control Plan be linked? What is the risk of not linking these three documents? Thank you.

    I think it's pretty explicit in 8.5.1.1. I'd ask what's the point of doing them if you don't link them? If the Process flow isn't reflected in the PFMEA, the RPN etc will be useless and so on.
