Can anybody tell me what a 'Delta' PPAP consists of? We have a customer who has requested it. I am only familiar with levels 1-5 PPAPs. Thank you.

Sounds like a customer got create with the terminology! I'm guessing it's from a customer, so did you check with them what they are asking for? There's no shame in asking - they may not know, but have handed it off to you, with their fingers crossed, hoping you do!

Just a quick guess on my part but since delta often designates a change, I would assume they want a PPAP on a change in either process or product. Either of which should automatically trigger a new PPAP. But as Andy said, you might want to ask and also ask what they are expecting (which level).

I have experienced this with WoodWard . If this is the case you need to consult there spec. I don't know what it is off hand but if you need help let me know.

According to one of my supplier manuals at the last page it lists "Delta PPAP Applied For Structures Changing - Product, Process, Installation",
with a table of "Modification parameters", so David and Andy are on the right track, but there is no harm in confirming this with the source.

The term Delta is used in the aerospace industry to indicate a changed or partial (secondary) FAI. It may have a similar meaning with PPAP, though I've never heard it used that way. As noted above, consulting with your customer for clarification seems the most prudent approach.
