    Hi all

In applying 9.3, in 9.3.2 d)adequacy of resources, what is its exact meaning ?

Is it to revise if resources in the past, has been sufficient for the purpose planned.
Let´s say, If I perform Management review meetings quarterly.
Ok, am I going to revise if in the past four months, resources have been properly planned/authorized?

Please help me clarify this point.

    Thanks

You are confusing things. What is the focus of the output from management review? If you understand that, then you have the answer to your question... What's the focus of the output from management review?

The focus is to ensure its continuity, and aligned with the strategy,I know that.
Maybe Im missing the main objective, and Im focusing to answer clauses.
    Thanks

resources are defined in 7.1 -
    General
    People
    Infrastructure
    Processing Environment
    Measuring and Monitoring
    Training/Competence tribal knowledge

Are resources supplied adequate for these items (as they affect the QMS)

The focus of the management review is towards what needs corrective action/Continuous Improvement. That needs resources: People, time and money as a minimum. These 2 things: CA & CI are usually extra work for people - that's why the "resources" need to be adequate.

    Hanks ho
    thanks hoy
    But what is evaluated?
Resources provided in the past? Or needed in the time the MRM is held?
Because resources needed are defined in outputs.
    Thanks

Resources can be both inputs and outputs, they are two sides of the same coin. You may need financial resources (input) to provide trained employees (output).
Twice every year I ask (by way of Management Review) for resources to allow our torque wrenches to be calibrated. This never happens, as a result I note that we can no longer take on jobs that require specific torque values as we have no calibrated wrenches. (an example of not providing resources). It has all been discussed in the meeting, and the answer is that "we will consider that when we have a job that requires it." Did they fail to provide resources? Not if they are unneeded. Is it aggravating, well, yes, but not a "failure to provide resources".

I'm not sure I'd agree, HHF. Money isn't an input to the process. It isn't transformed by the process.

So what would the infrastructure require? or training? All equates to financials in the end. Having enough employees available all depends on income. They do affect the QMS. I dont see a big separation. If lack of training means we must be providing the resources for training, it comes down to the same thing eventually. Maybe I am reading too much into it.

I don't disagree money is needed, but it's not an input to a QMS process. It's not transformed by the process is it? You don't line up a bunch of $100 bills as input to the training process and have trained $100 bills as a result...

Yes but sometimes we put those $100 bills in the box like we are giving money away. :)
