    Hi,
We are working on the mechanical concept design/development for our product and my question is about the appropriate "Quality Metric" to measure the quality of the concept design deliverable. Can any one please comment/suggest?

    Thanks,
    Deevakar

When working through the 3 (typical) phases of product development, the various solutions which were developed were always tested and verified against the target specification. In the concept design phase, there may be a number of potential solutions which might be further developed, and these should be tested against a (basic) specification and then reviewed. Scores can be attributed to each of the specifications to provide an overall score.
