PPAP low quantities high diversity

    We are IATF certified because management saw opportunity to improve quality with it.
    We do not have high serial production. Our quantities are around 1000 pcs per month or lower for one products but we have a lot off diferend products (cca. 5000).
    Due to IATF we have to ask our suppliers to send us PPAP documentation. The problem is that we have so many different parts comming from suppliers we are not able to procees all PPAP material and we ar always caught in never ending circle of PPAP requests.

    Does any of you guys have experience with similar kind of production?
    Is PPAP done for process, for example cable harness, enough to comply with IATF?

    Are these encoders installed directly into passenger cars/trucks/motorcycles ?? [this will help to better understand your question/applicability]

    Hi John,

    at the moment we have only letter of approval for IATF because automotive industry is not our primary sector where we want to be present, only one product is installed in prototype automotive application.

    Are you likely to produce production volumes with any actual commitments?

    I do not believe it will happened soon. We are not really fond to automotive customers.
