    IATF 8.4.2.1 discusses the requirement of having a documented process to identify outsourced processes. Also, throughout the standard externally provided product and processes is discussed. Are outsourced processes and externally provided product/processes the same? If not, what separates the two?

    They are. The IATF folks use their sector specific language for some reason (and why IATF 16949 isn't a "standard" any longer...)
