In order to further spread the word, I would like to suggest use of the fb like button in the bottom left hand corner of every thread.

Can posts be linked to Twitter, like Linkedin does?

Not sure about individual posts, but like Claes suggested, you may use Tweet / Like buttons at the bottom of each page.

You can possibly edit the link in the resulting tweet and put in a link to the individual post ? Worth trying...

There may be an addon for this. I'll need to search for it.

At least the fb button links to the thread in question. I'm not using Twitter, so I have not tried that one.

One thing that is hurting re-gaining the Cove membership is that a search of "quality forum" or "quality discussion" on google does not result in a link to the Quality forum online. Even worse it does show links to the National Quality Forum. It may take a lot more activity to get google to start boosting it to a higher level on a search.

Time to start allowing advertizers and paying for SEO help?

It's probably just going to take a little time. The Cove didn't happen overnight either. Even then, Google kept making changes that negated much of the popularity of that site in their searches.

As Paul says, it's too early. Just about 8 weeks.

I know that Google, Bing and a few other bots are indexing pages from here. They can only index what's available. What we need is more content, more threads, more questions, more posts, more discussions, more participation. In addition to finding us by name, I would like people to Google a phrase or a question and find a discussion thread at QFO.

Now, if you search for Elsmar Cove, you will find pages that provide a link to this site (and a couple others).

    To repeat what's already suggested:
    1. Every member get a member: If you are in touch with former Covers that you do not see here, you could request them to join. Suggest this site to your colleagues who you think may bebefit by joining, encourage them to register and participate.
    2. Backlinks: I would appeal to those who have their website(s), to please provide a link to this site.
    3. Network: Use your Linkedin network to spread the word. Like/share/tweet threads from here when you can.
In due course! SEO is tricky and takes time. Many of you will remember even Cove went off Google's radar after Penguin and Panda updates. This, after the site was online for over 15 years.
