    Hi,

I am wondering if there is any possible method to inspect the alignment/position of LED's on PCB when it is done by hand, not by machine for some reason. It would be part of inprocess inspection.

As there is another type of lens sitting above the LED, it is critical to have the perfect alignment of lens and LED.

Some sort of plastic made template could be something I could consider?

Any suggestion or tip will be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    MK

Yes, you could use a template - maybe a clear material with the acceptable LED positions printed on it and with a reference alignment point to ensure correct registration to a datum.
