    Dear members,

We were recently audited for stage 1 audit for AS9100 RevD.

auditor made a point regarding clause 10.3 - Continual Improvement.

How can continual imrpovement be measured effectively and are there any examples?

We are not using DOE, SPC or capability studies since its an assembly set up where we procure parts from our suppliers and assemble in house.

    Regards,
    Mustafa

Simple! Improvement is usually measured in terms of better performance, related to the process or part of the QMS which has been improved - just like any LEAN or 6 Sigma project, improvement can be measure in money saved

I agree with Andy. Continual improvement should be measured in terms that directly reflect the changed outcomes of the process being improved. That means things like fewer errors, less scrap, shorter cycle time etc.

Hi, continuously improve your QMS, internal audits, M. Review meetings all are happening at regular intervals. Lean KPI meaures like OTD delivery, Lead Time, 6S etc. are just examples of continual improvement.
