    I have been reading a bunch of 'blogs' that state the AS9100d (or 2016) will have to be implemented by September 14, 2018 and that your current AS9100c will be 'expired' after mid-September 2018. Now the articles I have been reading are dated 2015 so I don't know if this is still the case or not but I am not finding anything that contradicts this information.

    Does anyone know if this is still the case and when the actual release date of AS9100d will be so I can buy the new revision?

    IAF ID 9 – Transition for ISO 9001:2015

    The IAQG endorses the information and principles set out in IAF ID 9 including the ISO
    9001:2015 transition deadline date of 3 years from the date of publication of ISO 9001:2015 i.e.
    September 15, 2018.

    AQMS certification documents that also refer to ISO 9001 shall not contain mixed or nonaligned
    editions of standards e.g. ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100C (technically equivalent to EN
    9100:2009 or JISQ 9100:2009).

    Where a certification document is issued or re-issued to an AQMS standard that is prior to the
    2016 editions, the CB shall follow one of the following options;

    1) The certification expiry date on the certification document and in the OASIS database shall
    not exceed September 15, 2018.
    2) The Certification document shall contain a clear statement that the certification will not be
    valid after September 15, 2018

    Thank you,

    Part of the problem here was my mind. I was walking through the process in my head. Our next audit (surveillance) is in November. In my head, I was thinking that we were going to have to change this to a full audit because September 2018 would be 10 months later. I don't know why I skipped the year 2017 but I did. The more I 'thought' about it, the more I convinced myself 2017 did not exist (or we were in 2017). We have 30 months, not 18 months to get ready. in November 2017 we do the full audit to rev D. Since we are required to do the full audit anyway, it is not as big an issue as I was thinking.
