    Hello Guys!!

I have a big question; well.. I know the answer however I want to check with you guys if there is a different option.

What is the situation: well, at my company we want to start with the verification of the check fixtures, but we have an important issue, we don't have the 3D files for the fixtures so, we can't do the verification, all the fixtures are from the customer but we want to avoid ask to the customer for the 3D file because you know, they will "how are we verifying the fixtures in the past?" and I don't have an answer for that..

have you ever been in a similar situation? how you solve that?

    Thank you guys!

Suck it up. Ask. They may NOT ask. You can respond with "We haven't shipped you anything non-conforming so what we did worked". Get the data.

    Welcome to the site @Ing.Eli
@Andy Nichols is spot on. Some of the onus lies with your customer. They provided the fixture, they should have provided the data.

    Be the hero!

    Hope this helps.
    Be well.

Yes, I know; that the customer should provide the data however seems that at the beginning of the project they did that; so we want to avoid more questions; in a couple or months we will have our IATF 16949 Audit so, we want to be prepare with a plan B in case that we don't obtain the drawing.

Yes, we want to have a plan B in case that the answer from our customers; also we are trying to have a different option because, we will be in an external IATF 16949 audit in a couple months.

If the customer won't tell you how to check the fixture, as a "plan B" could you measure critical areas of the fixture and then periodically re-measure the fixture to see if it has changed?
