    Hi,

Can someone provide a sample answer to the statement below in bold writing or comment. I am a total newbie to Quality Management Systems so I am wondering does this essentially mean describe the company document control procedure?

Please describe briefly your Quality documentation process.

    Thanks,
    James

Welcome James! I'm not surprised that you can't answer! It's not a truly answerable question. QMS documentation ISN'T a "process"! Someone who wrote the question doesn't understand that. However, I'd suggest that the reply they are seeking is a description of how your QMS documents are structured, which is usually: Quality Manual, Quality System Processes/Procedures, Work Instructions and finally forms. This might not be the way you have yours, but in that case simply describe what you have - the requester will be delighted.

Thank you Andy! It is for a company prequalification so there was very little other detail in what they were asking for. Fortunately, we do have all of the documents that you have mentioned in place so that should not be too difficult to describe.
