    Hello everybody
I would like to hear your opinion in this matter.
into the manufacturing area, the product is identified for traceability by
a handwritten ID, (written on the surface) using an ink pen , e.g. #3456, which is an Id provided by a software used to contol the inventory in a warehouse.
My question is, what should I check against to, for complying with the standard?
    -Traceability, is ok.
-Document control, is ok, is not a document.
    -What else?

    Any idea?
    Thanks fot your help

Identification and traceability are 2 separate concepts.
Which one are you asking about? It seems you are asking about inventory control (which is identification) not traceability. Can you confirm?

Yes, sorry, this control exists into the warehouse for the controlling of the raw material.
So, in this case the way is identified , do you think is correct?
    Thanks
    Could it fit in here?

    8.5.4 Preservation
The organization shall preserve the outputs during production and service provision, to the extent
necessary to ensure conformity to requirements.
NOTE Preservation can include identification, handling, contamination control, packaging, storage,
    transmission or transportation, and protection.

If so, What is the difference in using a paper label (a form) and controlled into the management system documentation vs handwritten ID?

Please review what the standard says: "The org shall use suitable means to identify..."

Is writing with a marker "suitable"?

Yes it is, and is sufficient for the purpose, I donĀ“t see the need to create a form that have to be controlled, and is not a value added action.
Thanks a lot for your support
