    Hello!

So my company wants to get us aerospace certified to potentially increase business.

We are a toll processor of specialty metal coil, sheet and plate. (Grind, Buff, Polish, Slit, Cut-to Length)

I am having the hardest time trying to find a side by side comparison of 9001:2015 to 9100(D)...

How difficult can it be for a company who is already 9001:2015 certified?

9100(D) is basically 9001 with a few extra requirements here and there I have read. (all of the bold text)

    Any advice or opinions?

    Thanks!

Depends on your previous experience in the aerospace sector...

There's nothing in AS9100D which would cause a headache - compared to, let's say, IATF 16949. Some requirements are going to be pretty simple to address for a scope like yours. TBH, although you CAN be AS 9100D, I'm thinking that the extra costs that such a certification attracts - increased day rate, fees and auditor travel for starters - I've have to be convinced there was a cost justification...
