    Hi everybody

    At trying to define if its needed to have a document about vision and mission, is it really needed for ISO 9001 2015 compliment? and is it auditable?

    On the other hand, the Standard 9001 doesnt mention vision,mission, however

    the 900o (vocabulary), it does, several times, see next:

    2.2.3 Context of an organization
    Understanding the context of the organization is a process. This process determines factors which
    influence the organization’s purpose, objectives and sustainability. It considers internal factors such as
    values, culture, knowledge and performance of the organization. It also considers external factors such
    as legal, technological, competitive, market, cultural, social and economic environments.
    Examples of the ways in which an organization’s purpose can be expressed include its vision, mission,policies and objectives.

    2.3.2.4 Possible actions Possible actions include:
    — communicate the organization’s mission, vision, strategy, policies and processes throughout the organization;

    Thanks for your comments

    If it's NOT in ISO 9001 it's not auditable as a requirement.

    Andy is correct. ISO 9000:2015 is a guidance document. While ISO 9000:2015 provides definition of terms that can find their way into an audit, 2.2.3 and 2.3.2.4 are guidance. One more sure way to note that is in the terms "can be expressed" and "Possible actions include." Please see 0.1 in 9001:2015 Introduction section, at the bottom of the page.

    Hi ,
    Vision and mission are nothing but your company objective which quality parameter is one of them. If you document your quality policy and quality objective. Than no need.
