What is ISO 9001:2015 stances on BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)?

    What is ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems stances on incorporating aspects of ISO/IEC 19510:2013 Information technology Object Management Group Business Process Model and Notation?

    May just be the company that I work for but they seem to be using very basic flowchart diagrams when making processes and procedures diagrams.

    I imagine any company worth its weight in gold would have good Business Process Management (BPM) techniques. And something like Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) would be suitable to use.

    For one thing it is already within ISO, so it creates an international standard that allows everyone to use, follow and understand.

    Makes it clearer to understand processes and department relationships.

    From what I see it allows for an interlink between process, people, department and computing.

    So what is ISO 9001:2015 stances on BPMN?

    They don't have one! It's up to your organization - in consideration of the "Context of the Organization". In reality, there are many tools available and BPMN is simply one of them.

    If the preferred form/type of media works for the company, then there should be no problem.
    If it will add value to your company, then it's your organization's call.
